How great is Canelo Alvarez? – Boxing News

February 28, 2021 by admin

Tony Jeffries gives his own opinion on how good Canelo Alvarez really is

AFTER another Canelo Alvarez flawless performance last night,  no one can argue that he is the pound for pound best boxer in the world right now.

I created a video below where I talk all about where I think Alvarez stands in the TBE (The Best Ever) category and I’m sure my option on this will shock most.

During his fight last night I was thinking Avni Yildirim’s style is made for Canelo. But then I thought well whose style is not made for Canelo. He has dominated so many of those he has faced other than Floyd Mayweather, but that was when Alvarez was only 23 years old.

Alvarez is the most improved fighter I’ve ever seen, he just keeps getting better and better.

Now he has been matched against my Olympic team mate and friend Billy Joe Saunders, I think this is the only fight out there that everyone wants to see.

And I’m so excited for that. Will Canelo finally meet someone who has the style to stop him from continuing to make history or will he continue and go on to be the all time greatest of all time?

Watch this video where I tell you what I think:
