Miguel Berchelt and Oscar Valdez made weight and are set for their main event tomorrow night (Saturday, Feb. 20, 10 pm ET, ESPN and ESPN+), with Berchelt’s WBC junior lightweight title on the line.

Berchelt and Valdez both weighed in at the 130-pound limit for the fight, and we’re now officially, fully set, all things as they should be, for tomorrow night’s highly-anticipated fight.

There appeared to be at least some minor concern on the Berchelt (37-1, 33 KO) side about his weight, but he made it on the first go, the first time he’s actually made a 130-pound limit in 15 months, though he did have an unsanctioned fight last summer in Mexico.

“I don’t feel like a favorite. I’m not going to step in the ring that way,” Berchelt told Bernardo Osuna, who translated. “All I know is I’m gonna go in there and give everything. You’re going to see all the hard work I put in in the gym. We’re going to come away with a huge victory.”

“I’ve prepared myself 100 percent. I seriously doubt he trained harder than me,” Valdez (28-0, 22 KO) told Mark Kriegel. “I can’t wait to hold that title. I’ve been tested before, I’ve fought with an injured rib, a broken jaw, and I’ve been sent to the canvas several times. I’ve always fought through it. There’s nothing I haven’t seen.”

For the co-feature, unbeaten junior lightweight prospect Gabriel Flores Jr (19-0, 6 KO) and Jayson Velez (29-7-1, 21 KO) both weighed in at 132 pounds, the contract weight for their bout. They’ll kick off the main card broadcast at 10 pm ET in a 10-round fight.

Bad Left Hook will have Berchelt-Valdez live coverage tomorrow evening, Saturday, Feb. 20, starting at 6:45 pm ET, including round-by-round updates for the main card beginning at 10 pm ET.
